CELSIR Pays Courtesy Visit to Hon. Justice O.H. Oshodi Following 5th Anniversary Celebration

On the 17th of March, CELSIR had the honor of paying a courtesy visit to His Lordship, Justice O.H. Oshodi of the High Court, Lagos State, in appreciation of his presence and support during CELSIR’s 5th Anniversary celebration.

The visit was an opportunity to express our sincere thanks for his willingness to honor our invitation and support the work we do to advance justice, rehabilitation, and reintegration for justice-impacted individuals across Nigeria.

During the meeting, the CELSIR team also presented our Reentry Guide, a resource developed to support individuals transitioning from incarceration back into society. The guide reflects our ongoing commitment to ensuring that justice-impacted persons are equipped with the knowledge, support systems, and opportunities necessary for successful reintegration.

Beyond the presentation, the engagement created room for meaningful discussions around the realities facing individuals within the criminal justice system and the importance of strengthening rehabilitation and reentry support structures. His Lordship shared valuable insights, encouragement, and recommendations that will continue to guide our work and deepen our impact as an organization.

We recognize that sustainable justice reform requires collaboration among legal practitioners, judicial officers, civil society organizations, and communities. Visits such as this reaffirm the importance of partnerships and shared commitment toward building a more humane and restorative justice system.

We remain deeply grateful for the time, wisdom, and support extended to us by His Lordship, Justice O.H. Oshodi, and we look forward to continuing our efforts toward promoting dignity, second chances, and meaningful reintegration for justice-impacted individuals.
