Justice Impacted Individuals Virtual Learning Project

The Justice-Impacted Individuals Virtual Learning Project (formerly Inmate Virtual Learning (IVL) Project) is an initiative of CELSIR focused on supporting justice-impacted individuals with quality education. Through this initiative, incarcerated individuals have access to qualified tutors and educational resources necessary for the preparation of National Examinations taken in the correctional facilities. Incarcerated individuals also have access to short certified courses that would be useful and of great value post-incarceration. We believe that, if incarcerated individuals can access educational opportunities, they would be exposed to learning experiences that empower them to think positively and make transforming decisions that reduce the chances of committing future crimes. Since commencing this project, we have recorded over 65% success among our justice-impacted beneficiaries.
