Psycho-Social Support

According to the World Health Organization, 1 in 7 people in prison has a serious mental health condition, and studies show that incarcerated individuals are five times more likely to experience mental health challenges than the general population.

Mental health care for incarcerated individuals is not just a right, it’s a crucial part of their rehabilitation and reintegration into society.

For many justice-impacted individuals, incarceration is not just a loss of freedom — it's a rupture of identity, connection, and emotional safety.

Many enter prison already carrying trauma, and many more experience it within the system.

That is why we prioritize psycho-social support as a critical part of rehabilitation.

We understand the importance of providing comprehensive psychosocial support to justice-impacted persons. Our programs are designed to address the unique needs of individuals who have been affected by the justice system, promoting their rehabilitation and supporting their successful reintegration into society.

We leverage a range of strategies to provide psycho-social support, including

A Better Me

“A Better Me” is a quarterly interactive motivational event designed to inspire positive transformation among participants. Through sharing real-life success stories from individuals who have overcome societal challenges, we impart valuable life skills and foster resilience.

Healing Cycle

Healing Cycle is designed to guide participants through a process of recovery, empowerment, and reintegration into society. This holistic approach addresses the emotional, psychological, and social needs of those impacted by the justice system.

The Mental Health Workshop

The Mental Health Workshop is designed to support formerly incarcerated persons to be emotionally stable from their past experiences. This initiative offers a series of workshops and educational sessions led by professional mental health experts. Our goal is to provide valuable tools and resources to empower individuals on their journey toward mental wellness and community reintegration.

Welfare Initiatives

We enhance the welfare of justice-impacted individuals through collaboration with various organisations. In partnership with Integrated Logistics Services, we have provided quality, clean clothing to justice-impacted individuals. PEP Stores generously donated clothing to women in correctional facilities to commemorate International Women's Day. Furthermore, we organized a medical outreach at Ikoyi Correctional Center, with medications generously supplied by the "You Matter Foundation."
